Social media platforms keep the world connected and allow people to discover new information, ideas, and stories from every spot with an internet connection (even the most remote places on Earth). Although social media plays a significant role in our lives and how we see the world, we can't just trust all the information posted on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
Nobody said life was easy, but at least, all those smartphones, computers, and all tech devices just came to make life simpler than ever. Early 2007, I remember that every kid spent many hours playing Minecraft or Temple run, and their parents were also amazed because of the Mail application. We used to have 20 or 30 apps (and around 50% of them were just for entertainment), but now it seems like there is quite literally an app for everything.
Internet service has completely revolutionized our lifestyle and the entire world, but now it seems like nobody could live without it. Unfortunately, internet service is still limited in remote areas due to economic, confidence, or political reasons. This fact represents a significant limitation to our community since we live in a digital world. This impediment inspired Elon Musk to develop Starlink, a futurist project that will provide low-cost internet to even the most isolated regions on Earth.
Each year, the amount of e-waste reaches 444.7 million tons, and mountains of non-functional electronics continue growing higher all around non-developed countries, representing an exponential risk to the environment, animals, plants, and humans.
Since the early 2000s, lithium-ion batteries have been growing in popularity because they are affordable and practical. We all know that batteries are a high pollutant to the environment because of their toxic components like metals, plastics, and chemicals.
