The age of technology: Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology, in general, have been transforming the way we live, becoming a huge opportunity for increasing productivity and helping the industry to grow technologically and economically.

Experts have been working a lot in AI, they performed it to have many abilities; such as reasoning, knowledge representation, planning, learning, natural language processing, perception and the ability to move and manipulate objects; but, the main thing that it can not do, is the reasoning about “cause and effect”, that is why it replaced some jobs, but not at all. Experts said that some companies are working on it, but it is not well known.

In recent years, AI became the subject of interest for many businesses; that is indeed cheaper buying a robot than paying to an employee for a long period, but it is important to consider that non-human systems can do things that previously only humans could do and even better than us (and those “non-human” capabilities will continue growing) but AI can not replace all of us; by this low-skill jobs would be replaced with artificial intelligence-powered automation; the main example is the usage of powered robots in the manufacturing and also medical areas.

AI is becoming a part of everyday life for almost all consumers, in these days, this system is a key part in the fight against COVID-19 in China, the robots are doing all the work, like detecting the virus, disinfecting the hospital rooms, checking patients temperature and some other tasks.

Machine learning can be used to help enhance human intelligence in many ways, but it is also true that humans can understand the full context of what’s not working well in business processes and functions, and have relevant suggestions on how they could be improved.

In the future, some experts estimate that AI will be developed in a way to automate many business and life tasks, from driving trucks to piloting ships to handling customer calls.
