How to Recycle Lithium-ion Batteries

How to Recycle Lithium-ion Batteries

Due to their price, features, and performance, rechargeable batteries can be found in nearly every electronic device. The first lithium-ion battery came out in the early '80s, but it was not until the 90's when those li-ion batteries became a standard for household and professional electronics. As we previously mentioned, most of our electric vehicles, computers, smartphones, and tablets use lithium-ion batteries. Because of metals, plastics and chemicals, those batteries represent an exponential risk to the environment and human health.

Their lifespan is short, so please don't expect those batteries to last more than two or three years. Therefore, if we do not start recycling old Li-ion batteries now, their materials will harm our health, ecosystems, and the entire environment.

The battery recycling journey promotes the recovery of non-renewable materials. This process starts with someone dropping off old batteries in recycling bins and ends with the recovery and recycle of batteries and all their components. After all, users are responsible for disposing of their damaged batteries in a proper and secure manner.

Today is a good day to start recycling your old batteries!!

Recycling spots. - Your non-working batteries do not have any reselling value, but recycling them is an excellent alternative to make new batteries more affordable. Electronic retailers, ITAD companies, and many other businesses accept batteries for recycling.
